BQ: James is a good player, but I think people are overrating him after his performances in this world cup.
I've seen some Madrid fans welcoming the possibility of signing James and RM allowing Di Maria to leave the club, I think thats ridiculous, James is not even close to reaching Di Maria's level.
Di Maria is an excellent player who have been decisive in RM's champions league win, and he's also having a good world cup.
If Di Maria can have a decisive impact to help Argentina win the world cup, I think he should be considered for 2014 Ballon D'or, he'd deserve it imo.
Because You are slower on the ball than off the ball. and Jordi Alba has A LOT of pace, pace is bales game and if Jordi was able to mark him properly and catch up with him, he makes him ineffective. Jordi Alba has lots of pace he's able to contain Bale well.
Bale was overrated from the beginning but showed he was worth most of his price tag. against Barca and Atletico he didn't do anything, but Jordi- i believe- is as fast as Bale and he was thoroughly defended because Bale doesn't have the skills Ronaldo has to screw with most defenders, Bale more tries to out run or trick defenders but without the tricks Ronaldo does.
but again he did prove he was worth it with 2 trophies against those two teams, and he scored the winning goals in both, but he only got 1 assist against either rival and that was against Atletico in league in a 2-2 draw. against Barca in our 4-3 loss he also didn't do much, but the 2-1 win he also didn't do muc until the end and barca was very weak in that game.

That's only one game, the 4-3 cheatfest at the Bernabeu where Bale actually did okayish, a game where he dribbled 3 players and set Benzema up for a missed sitter.
At Camp Nou he was unfit and then used as a striker so unless you used him as a CB or DM I doubt he marked anyone lol.
